Making a Referral

Referral Procedure: Self referrals, or referrals from local services.

We accept the following types of referrals between Mondays & Fridays: 9:30am - 5.00pm.

• Self referral: you can contact us directly.

• Referral by a professional: Some agencies may refer you directly to us. These may include a teacher, social worker, doctor, health professional or the police.

• Referrals by a voluntary organisation: Some services may allow referrals from other voluntary organisations working with women and children on issues related to domestic violence and abuse.

Referral Assessment

Our staff will make an initial assessment of suitability at point of referral. If the referral fit's our criteria and the refuge has a vacancy, an offer of accommodation is made immediately. If a referral does not fit our criteria, our staff will ensure expert advice and information about support options are provided for you and your child (ren) to stay safe and free from domestic violence and abuse.
